Domestic Ghosts

Domestic Ghosts are a fictional three-piece indie band built around songs about the emotional residue people leave behind. Guitarist and vocalist Mara Bell, bassist Owen Pike and drummer Jules Navarro met while sharing rehearsal space above a neighborhood laundromat, where late-night demos slowly became a catalog of intimate, lived-in stories. Their song “Your Name Stayed Home” turns an ordinary apartment into a map of absence. A jacket on a chair, cold coffee, an old radio station and two tickets bought by habit carry the weight of a relationship that ended without a villain. The band pairs restrained guitars and patient rhythms with a vocal that lets silence do as much work as melody. Domestic Ghosts make alternative music for the aftermath rather than the argument. Their sound is observant, spacious and gently haunted, finding meaning in rooms, routines and objects that remember more than people expect.
